ROSA PUTSCHKER (nee THIVESSEN) December 10, 1927 - July 17, 2008 With heavy hearts the family wishes to announce the passing of Rosa Putschker on July 17, 2008. She was predeceased by her loving husband and soul mate, Herman in 1992 as well as her youngest son John in 2003. She is survived by her sons Peter (Jocelyne) and Karl, her daughter-in-law Lorna, grandchildren, Christina, Tyrone, Crystal, Jason and Sydney, great-granddaughters, Nicole and Caitlyn as well as an upcoming great-grandchild. Rosa was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1955. She lived a long and fulfilling life with her family and numerous friends throughout the world. Her favorite activities were fishing at Fairford, laughing and dancing at the German Society of Winnipeg, playing the slot machines at the casinos, BINGO nights at her apartment block and relaxing at Camp Neustadt in the summer. She was a wonderful lady and had great strength and perseverance and she found humour and happiness in everything she did. The family would like to thank the staff on 5B and Emergency at St. Boniface Hospital and Home Care for their compassionate care, as well as sincere gratitude to her life-long doctors Dr. Smil and Dr. Sinha. A private family interment will take place. At Rosa's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
