WILLIAM ROBERT PRYSTENSKI 1946 2008 With profound sadness and deep sorrow the family of Bill Prystenski announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, August 23 at Riverview Health Centre, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Beverley, his beautiful daughters Dawn, Arlene, Jennifer (Ken) and Wendy, two sisters Helen (John) Goertzen, and Kathie (Leonard) Wiebe, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Prystenski, and his sister Barbara in infancy. Bill lived all his life on the family farm and was looking forward to celebrating its 100 year anniversary in the Prystenski name. With five women in the house, Bill had a great shop, where he spent many hours. Bill was a welder by trade for 44 years. He loved to build and fabricate from images in his head and etched on his welding bench. He also loved to move dirt and had a great eye for level. If the grass started to grow, he had to cut it or dig it up. He worked for Greater Winnipeg Gas as a contract Welder, TransCanada Pipelines as a Welding Inspector, and Manitoba Hydro as a High Pressure Welder. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind offers of help and support. It is truly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Bill's wishes, there will be no service. A Family gathering will be held on Saturday, August 30, starting at 2:00 p.m., at our home. Special thanks to Riverview 3 East Palliative Care Unit, the Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire donations in his name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Send expressions of sympathy to www.mem.com
