PEARL VERA BEAULIEU Surrounded by love with her children at her side, Pearl peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Norbert in 1984, sisters Elsie and Dorothy and brother Jim. Pearl's memory will be cherished by her sister Ivy Christian, her children: Judy Somers (Don), Janice Benoit (Glenn), Michael Beaulieu, Alison Zarn (Jeff). Pearl was extremely proud of and will be missed by her seven grandchildren, Lindsay, Brendan, Carleigh, Meghan, Ian, Dylan and Dana. Pearl was born in Edmonton on March 19, 1924. She worked for many years, most notably at CN Rail, in the family business Baril's Tire , at Family Services of Winnipeg and Christ the King School. She made and maintained many friendships from her jobs as well as from the old neighbourhood of Southdale. Pearl was a proud woman who never walked away from a challenge. She loved to engage in conversation and truly valued the company of others. She was a loving wife and parent and always had an open door to extended family. Pearl's family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Maria Wowk and all the fabulous nurses on the 5th floor at Victoria General Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 1:30 p.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. Interment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
