JOSEPH LEON EDMOND PROULX Passed away peacefully at his Princeton residence on August 23, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Edmond served in the Second World War and was one of only 30 of the 300 men he was stationed with, who survived to return home to Canada. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #56, and was Princeton's last living veteran of the Second World War. Edmond had a passion for music, playing the violin, and had his own band called the Melody Ranch Boys . He loved his family and friends. Edmond will be lovingly missed by Agnes, his wife of 52 years of Princeton, BC; three daughters, Theresa, Claudette and Louise, six grand-children, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by his two sisters, Otillia and Cecile, both of Manitoba, and numerous nieces and nephews. Edmond has been predeceased by his parents and numerous siblings. Donations in Edmond's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family in care of hansons@shawcable.com.
