Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT EDWARD DICK June 14, 1946 - November 9, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bob at the Selkirk Regional Hospital. Bob was predeceased by his father Bill and his son Dennis. He will be sadly missed by his wife Virginia; mother Eva and sons, Clayton and Rob; stepsons, Chris (Irene) and Brent; brothers, Roy (Emily), Rick (Anne Marie) and Jeff, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. At a very young age, Bob started his life working in the gravel pits of Manitoba with his father. This lead to a career of gravel crushing, trucking and anything that had levers. Hauling pulpwood in Northern Ontario about the time he was 16 is when Bob found his passion for his love for the bush and the lakes. Friends and family have many great memories of hunting trips and plenty of fishing as this was what Bob found much enjoyment doing. Bob will be greatly missed for morning coffee at Caribou. His unique sense of humour and storytelling over a few drinks will be missed by those that knew him well. It's for all the years of work and play his memory will never fade. The family would like to thank the staff at Selkirk Hospital for their care and compassion. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dugald Community Centre, 544 Holland Street in Dugald, Manitoba.
