EVELYN POLLOCK February 5, 1914 - November, 2 2008 It is with great sadness we announce our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister has passed away. Our earth angel received her wings on Thursday, November 27 2008, at the age of 94. Evelyn was born the 5th of 7 children in Libau, Manitoba to Eva and Mike Sitar. After moving to Winnipeg, she met and married Michael Pollock. They spent 59 years together until Michael passed away in 1995. For many years Evelyn was employed as a seamstress for different companies. She was also a loving and devoted mother to her only daughter Marion. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Michael, siblings Kay, Anne, Mary, Michael, and Sophie as well as her son-in-law Ed Warren. Evelyn's memory will be cherished by her daughter Marion (Bill), her grandsons Blaine (Debbie), Todd (Leona), Rod (Jennifer), great grandchildren Blair and Michael, Emily and Duncan, Jordan and Breanna, her sister Pearl and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road, on Friday December 5 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Care Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 will be gratefully appreciated. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated and caring doctors, nurses, aides and staff of the Victoria General Hospital.
