Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRYANT RAYMOND RATCHINSKY September 13, 1945 - November 29, 2008 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, the very best uncle and dear friend, Bryant Ratchinsky, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bryant was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father, Herman, in 1967. Bryant is deeply missed and will be lovingly remembered by his mother Olga, sister Valerie (Mel) Falk, nephews Bradley of California, US and Barrett of Victoria, BC, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His friends will cherish his memory. Bryant worked for many years at Weston's Bakeries. He suffered all his adult life with mental illness. He endured and fought to overcome the pain and limitations of an illness imposed upon him. His spirit and courage were a source of inspiration to those who loved him. We were so proud of his strength and courage. Bryant was a man who gladdened our hearts, made us laugh and had a special talent for helping to ease the pain of others. He had many loyal, caring friends and we are so grateful for all of them. His family and friends walked with him through his struggles, and loved and cared for him. Bryant's mom always had a special place in his heart. His nephews meant the world to him and he was so proud of them. Memorial services will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Saturday, December 6 at 12:30 pm. Interment at Brookside Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bryant to: Manitoba Schizophrenic Association 100-4 Fort Street Winnipeg, MB R3C 1C4 May you rest in God's loving arms and find peace in the knowledge that you are truly loved.
