Adored and survived by her three children, Valery Plummer, Berva Bocklage (Joseph) and Chummy Plummer (Lori); grandchildren, Jorgen Bocklage (Sonja), Barrett Bocklage (Debra) and Chandler Bocklage (Alanna); great-grandchildren, Sophia, Joey, Barrett II, Ross, Peyton and Bastian. Born in Janesville, WI, to the late John and Jensena Vigdal on August 5, 1915. As an infant she moved to Estevan, SK., attended grade school in a one-room country schoolhouse, graduated high school from Estevan Collegiate. In 1938 she graduated from St. Anthony's Hospital, The Pas, MB. and moved to Flin Flon where she worked as a registered nurse at the General Hospital, Company Hospital and the Flin Flon Clinic until her retirement in 1970. She was an active member of the St. James Anglican Church and a lifelong member of the Eastern Star. While Addie lived at the Westhaven Retirement Residence in the winter she considered home to be the cabin at Baker's Narrows since 1940. She loved nature and animals and took great pleasure from the fox, ducks and squirrels that came to visit. She was a true lady. She was generous, loving, gracious and full of wonder for her full life of 93 years. A world traveler, and a wonderful matriarchal family member. It was impossible not to love her and this gentle soul will be sorely missed. A service to celebrate Addie's life will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2008 at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Addie's memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB. R3L OK6 NEIL BARDAL INC. 204-949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
