LORNA CAVELL RAVEN (nee SHILLINGTON) Lorna Cavell Raven of Brandon, MB (aged 78) passed away peacefully on November 24, 2008, at Fairview Nursing Home, with her daughters by her side, following a lengthy battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). She was predeceased by her parents Edward (1970) and Mary (1981) Shillington, her brothers Wally (1987), Clarence (1988), twin brother Lorne (1995) and her husband Wesley Raven. She is survived by her sister, Audrey Hallet of Edmonton, AB, brother Ivan (Nancy) Shillington of Kindersley SK, daughter, Mavis Self of Winnipeg, daughter, Muriel (Wayne) Stocki of Brandon, granddaughter Bree Self of Thompson, granddaughter, Janissa (Michael) Cassells of Brandon, five great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. The funeral service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens with Mona Franklin officiating. Pallbearers were Warren Hallet, Darren Hallet, Kelvin Shillington, Brian Giefer, Michael Cassells and Chris Green. Honourary pallbearers were Michael Kennedy, Shea Kennedy and Kevin Shillington.
