KIRBY ALBERT POLLARD It is with the deepest of sadness that we announce the passing of Kirby Albert Pollard of Winnipeg, beloved husband of Karen-Anne, on Monday, December 29, 2008, at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 49 years. Along with his loving wife Karen of 10 years, Kirby is survived by his step-son Jason (Leslie); and granddaughter Isabella; his mother Anne Pollard; sisters Cindy (Richard), Kathy, Dorothy (Shaun), Christine (Sheldon), Lorelei (Harold), Caroline; as well as many nieces and nephews. Also left behind to mourn his passing are his four-legged friends Sammy and Kato. He was predeceased by his father Frederick Albert Pollard. Kirby was born January 20, 1959 in Atikokan, Ontario but was raised and received his education in Winnipeg. Kirby spent twelve dedicated years with Maxim Transportation Services Ltd, starting out at the original Logan Avenue location on the parts order desk and then moving to the Branch on Lowson Crescent as the Parts Manager. Those who knew Kirby will remember him as a man with an infectious laugh and a person who was always there to help others when needed. The ray of sunshine in Kirby's life was his granddaughter Isabella. She was absolutely adored by him and we are certain he will continue to watch over her. When Kirby left this life to start on his new journey, we hope he was met by his faithful companion Kooper, who passed only one week before his master. In accordance with Kirby's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Friends and family wishing to honour Kirby's memory may do so by making a memoriam donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society at 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.
