MICHALINE JULIA POKLITAR It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michaline Julia Poklitar at St. Boniface Hospital on February 12, 2009, at the age of 79. Michaline is lovingly remembered by her children, Joanne (David), Jim (Virginia) and Eileen; and by her grandchildren, Holly (Blaine), Meghan, Kevin, Nicole, and Rachael. Her family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care given to Michaline. Michaline (Min) was born on November 10, 1929, to Michael and Julia Wallaski. She had many years of employment in clerical positions, eventually retiring from Agriculture Canada. With friends she travelled to Israel, Germany, Mexico and England. Michaline was an avid crafter, enjoying smocking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She cherished the friendships she made as an active member of her church community and the seniors' social club in her apartment building. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Philip's Anglican Church at 240 Tache Avenue, with Reverend Linda Parsons presiding and reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Humane Society at 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. DESJARDINS 233-49049 1-888-233-4949

  • Hello Minnie, I just wanted to say hello to you as it is 7 years now since you were CALLED HOME and my husband Randy and I are keeping a close eye on Eileen to ensure she has somebody who ""HAS HER BACK"" in life and on day to day matters. Eileen and I have gotten closer than any 2 sisters could be and it is such a delight as Randy and I pray always, every day a few times a day, that she is fine and you would be so very proud of how she is handling day to day life and I told her so the other day how much Randy and I admire her strength and how she manages to get so much done on her own. Minnie--- You must look down and smile when you see the sweet, adorable and amazing daughter you raised as she is definitely made of strong stock and I see so much of YOU in Eileen and that makes me so happy. We will always be here for her, so take care and say hi to Grandpa and Grandma Mandryk for us as I am sure you see them a lot... Take good care and sending lots of love your way too. Love Randy and Dianne and our 2 little female girls who are part Maine Coon and will be 5 in July, Brooklyn Kimberly and Bristol Caroline. Knowing of your love of animals, you would adore them and Eileen's Betty and Oliver are just too adorable for words as we have not met them in person yet, but hope to soon. Bye for now sweetie and love you always... xo xo xo xo - Posted by: Dianne Mandryk Spry (cousin) on: Feb 12, 2016

  • Hello Min, just thought I would pop you a little note to say Eileen and I have found each other again and we are both so happy about it. I will ensure she does well as we both have health issues and hopefully we can be there for each other. Sorry I did not see you the last few years you were with us still, but my health took a downward turn and I have to go onto a medial retirement because of my back and knees and will be getting my left knee replaced by end of this year hopefully and maybe the right knee about a year after that. Hope you are having a good time with your Mom and Dad and Grandpa and Grandma Mandryk. So, take care. Love Dianne - Posted by: Dianne Mandryk Spry (cousin) on: Aug 29, 2013
