LEAH POSNER (nee KIRSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Leah Posner (nee Kirson). She died at the Sharon Home in Winnipeg April 10, 2009. Leah was predeceased by her husband Ben and her daughter Dee Zenith. She is survived by her three children: Nancy (John) Rea; Mark (Tova) Posner; Karen (Tom) Traves; and her son-in-law, Howard C. Howard; her many grandchildren David (Joanna) Rea; Jennifer (Jim) Jordan; Will (Susan) Traves; Julie Traves; Arnon (Decla) Henken; Oded (Shirlee) Henken; Haran (Jen) Posner; Doron and Nadev Posner as well as eight great-grandchildren. Her brother Sid (Lynn) Kirson of Vancouver and her sisters Eva Karlinsky of Winnipeg and Maceta (Israel) Freedman of Toronto also greatly mourn her loss. Leah will be remembered as a loving and compassionate spouse, mother, sister and friend. She was beautiful, gracious, thoughtful and wise. We will miss her companionship and her place at the center of our lives. Funeral service will be Monday, April 13th at 12:00 Noon at the Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson Ave. Interment to follow at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park. A reception will be held at the Sharon Home, 1 Falconridge Dr. at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hadassah WIZO or a charity of your choice.
