DANIEL OBSNUK Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend Daniel of St. Martin, MB born January 15, 1914, passed away at the Lakeshore General Hospital on May 30, 2009 at the age of 95 years. Daniel will be deeply missed by his wife Marvel of 59 years; children Dianne (Chris), Gerry, Debbie (Marc), Brenda (Clarke), Danny, Bob and Sue (Larry); 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Daniel was born in Winnipeg, MB being the eighth of twelve children. He will be missed by his only remaining brother Mike. Daniel dedicated his life to farming, fishing and family. He also worked for a short time at the CFB Gypsumville Air Force base and then continued to work for Manitoba Highways until his retirement. Hard work mixed with a little humour from time to time made for some wonderful memories of a great man who will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the St. Martin Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Service will conclude at the hall and an interment will be held at a later date.
