WILMA YOUNGER PULLIN (nee STEVENS) We lost our wonderful mom and grandma, Wilma (Willie) on May 28, 2009 at the age of 85. She was predeceased in July 2005 by Harold, her loving husband of almost 59 years. Mom will be greatly missed by her entire family, Judy (Dave) Morrison, Laurie (Greg) Carpenter and Valerie (Dale) Foster; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Wilma was born and raised in Winnipeg. Mom enjoyed paddling at the Winnipeg Canoe Club and curling with the ladies at Fort Rouge and also served as their President in 1970-1971. Willie and Hal spent time at Pala Camp in Minaki, Ontario when they were younger and their love for the area led to their purchase of a cottage (Pullin's Palace) where they spent many happy summers with family and friends. Mom's quirky sense of humour was infectious and she often saw the funny side of things and kept those around her smiling. Music was an important part of Mom's life. Her piano brought her many hours of enjoyment and she always played by ear. Many thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for their care and attention to our mother over the past eight months. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life honouring Mom will be held on Monday June 22, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. with words of remembrance at 2:00 p.m. at Canad Inn Fort Garry, 1824 Pembina Highway. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Crohn's Colitis Foundation, 660-60 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario M4T 1N5. Think where man's glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was I had such friends. W.B. Yeats
