EMMA NOWAK Suddenly on June 8, 2009, Emma passed away at the age of 84. She will be lovingly remembered as a mother, grandmother and dear friend to many. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Roswitha, Rainer, Werner (Annie), Herbert (Rita) and Irene McDonald (Rick) and lifetime friend Rosa. She will be missed by her treasured grandchildren Lauren, Lance, Zachary and Ryan. In Europe and the U.S.A. Emma leaves her many relatives, brothers and sisters, and their relatives. Emma was predeceased by her husband of 58 years and she has deeply missed him every day since he passed away two years ago. Emma was born and raised in Herzogdorf, Czechoslovakia, April 5, 1925. She married Ignacy in Rauisch Holzhausen, Germany in 1949. After moving to Winnipeg Emma developed many deep and caring friendships that remain to this day. Emma loved her gardening and was proud to have won awards for her yard. Although she was a talented cook, her love was the people dear to her - her children, grandchildren and many close friends. She took pride creating a warm welcome for them at all times. Viewing will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Glen Eden Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Emma's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
