RENE JOSEPH RAYNAUD With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Dad passed away on June 18, 2009 surrounded by family at the Ste. Anne's Hospital, at the age of 87. René was born to Raymond and Francoise Raynaud on May 30, 1922. He is survived by his beloved wife and soul-mate, Véronique of 59 years and his six children; Denis (Sandra), Gisèle (Allan), Marcel (Diane), Fernand, Gilles (Nicole), Philippe (Kim); also his grandchildren; Kristine (Norm), Jamie (Maria), Charlene (Luc), Robert, Jackie (Yannick), Jeffrey (Xochil), Laura (Jordan), Francine, Gianna, Lareina, Jenelle, Jessica, Brendan and Madison; great- grandchildren; Marisa, Eric, Jasmine, Reyanne, Selina, Julia, Adrianna, Samuel, Olivia, Sabrina, Tatiana and Kane; a sister, Rolande Demarcke. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Andrée and Raymonde, brothers, Paul and Roger; grandchildren Danny and Taylor. Dad married Mom (Véronique Bohemier) on September 17, 1949. He farmed most of his life in Lorette and also had worked quite a few years at Brodeur Bros. Dad was good at everything he did. His family was everything to him. He was there for us no matter what. There was nothing he didn't try and fix and patience he never ran out of; he just had to know how something worked. A good listener, also a super father and grandfather. Over the years, he made many good friends. He taught his children many values and skills. He had many struggles but with his strong and loving wife by his side, he could accomplish anything. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and staff at the hospital and to the home care workers, also to the special visitors who stopped in to visit Dad; Sister Irene Rioux, Sister Marguerite Forrest, and nephew Hector Demarcke for their prayers and support for Dad and our family. In keeping with René's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service celebrating his life, will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. with Fr. Armand Legal o.m.i officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of René can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Rm ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 9Z9 Dad, we love you and we'll miss you forever The Coutu Family in care of arrangements E.J COUTU CO.
