HENRY ROBERT TIO Peacefully, on Wednesday, June 18, 2009 Henry passed away at the Betel Home in Selkirk, MB at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his wife Nellie. He is survived by his children, son David (Jane) of Rosedale, B.C. and his grandsons Gregg (Bonnie), Glenn (Sheila), Matthew (Renuka) and Callum; daughter Deborah (Ron), his granddaughters Holly (Darcy), Amber (Jarred); as well as great-grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family and friends. Dad was born in Bismark, ND and came to Canada shortly after his birth. He was raised in Netley Lake, MB where his love of the outdoors came to pass. He loved to hunt, fish and trap and was an expert marksman. Mom and Dad lived on the family farm in Netley, and he also worked off the farm at various jobs including CPR, Gold Mine in Bissett and Lower Fort Garry. They moved to Lower Fort Garry in 1969 where he retired in 1982. Mom and Dad loved to garden and were well known for their beautiful garden. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Reception will follow also at the Chapel. The family wish to thank the Staff at the Betel Home in Selkirk for their care and compassion shown to Dad. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
