CAROL THOM (nee PICARD) Carol Thom passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Leukemia at the age of 33 on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the Health Sciences Centre with her family and friends by her side. Remaining to forever cherish Carol's memory are her spouse James; sons Cole and Dawson; brothers Alan Picard, Ghis Picard (Lyndi); sister Helene Picard (Mark); sister-in-law Shelly Cordeerio (Glen); brother-in-law Gerald Thom (David); mother-in-law Anne Thom and father-in-law James Sr. Thom and beloved dog George, as well as many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, Cathy, Lori, Melanie, Janice, Jim, Dawn (Tyler), Vera, Jason and Janet. Carol lived in Winnipeg, and had a love for home improvement and decorating and 7-11 slurpees. She was a wonderful loving mother to their two children Cole and Dawson. On Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Carol's Funeral Service will be held in the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. A special thank you to all the nursing staff of GD6 at the Health Sciences Centre whose love care and support helped Carol battle this horrible disease with a positive attitude and never let her quit. Thanks to Dr. Seftel for never giving up on Carol.
