MARTHA MAE HLADKI (nee SETTEE) It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Martha Mae Hladki (Moss) on July 25, 2009 with her family by her side. Moss was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Grace Settee; sister Carole; brother Harold (Partner); and son Ernest Mowat Jr. She will be sadly missed by Archie; daughter Lisa; son Andy (Tamara); daughter-in-law Michelle (Corwin); seven sisters; three brothers; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by Hen and Del. Moss spent most of her life on Matheson Island until she moved to Thompson in 1992. She eventually settled in Winnipegosis where she enjoyed spending time with Archie and her new found hobby, playing on the computer. She really enjoyed her Facebook account as it kept her in touch with people at all times. Family and friends were very important to Moss, spending a lot of time between the Island and Winnipeg with them. She was the kind of person that was there for you whenever needed. She and Arch would just jump in the truck and off they would go. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Matheson Island Community Hall with Ron and Elaine Perepeluk officiating. Honourary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Winnipegosis Hospital for their compassionate care. Special thanks to Doug and Loa for all their ongoing support during this time, and also to the friends who where there for Moss and her family. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
