PETER MICHAEL PRYMA With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Peter Michael Pryma on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 52 years. Remaining to forever cherish Peter's memory are his loving wife of 29 years, Donna Lynn; his children Patricia, Peter Jr., Paul and best pal Buster; his mother Mary and sisters Celeste, Marie (Ian), Kathie Hardy (Cam). Peter is also survived by his mother-in-law Margaret Shawaga, along with many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Leonard, Baba and Gigi Korniat and father-in-law William Shawaga. Peter was born in Brantford, Ontario, and after two years his family moved to Winnipeg. After his schooling, Peter became employed at Winroc, where he worked for over 30 years; his customers were always greeted with a big smile and a warm hello. We will remember him for his humility and positive attitude, his patient teachings, gentle strength and gracious nature and his playful, clever sense of humour. Peter's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Street, with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk, presiding. A reception will follow and a private family inurnment will take place in Chapel Lawn Cemetery. A special thank you to all the staff of the 5th floor north ward of the Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Basil Stained Glass Window Fund. So we say good-bye to our husband, son, brother, friend, his strength, bravery and gentle nature will remain in our hearts forever. Take it easy Pete

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I miss my dad every single day that goes by but I have all the wonderful memories that gets me threw it everytime. I just think of his smile and they way he talked. I love you dad and will see you one day on the other side. RIP Dad!!! - Posted by: Patricia Pryma (Daughter) on: May 24, 2012

  • I do not miss my brother as I think of him every day. He is still part of my life as I have great memories of my Brother. Pete was the best brother anyone could ask for as I found out from the many years we both got into trouble together. He will always be remembered and forever in my heart I smile every time I hear a song on the radio that we used to sing, and there were tons. I see your smirk every time I see some "hot" spices.. - Posted by: Celeste (Sister) on: Mar 11, 2012
