ALINE GISELE MARIE TRUDEAU-ARON 1934 - 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer, Aline Trudeau-Aron passed away peacefully on August 28, 2009 at Concordia Hospital with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, her parents, Aldéa (d'Auteuil) and Henri Trudeau, her step-sister Henriette and her brothers Raymond and Hubert. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers Noël (Marcelle), Marcel (Jeannette), Louis, Laurent (Yvonne), and her sisters Angèle Lacroix, Juliette Desrochers (Rudy), Irma Gobert (Wilfred) and Gisèle Goodwin and many nieces and nephews. Aline was born and raised in Ile-des-Chênes, attended local rural school and pursued secondary studies at St. Joseph's Academy in St. Boniface graduating in 1952. After teacher training at the Tuxedo Normal School, she taught one year in Otterburne before joining the religious order of Missionary Oblates of St. Boniface in 1954. Her teaching and principalships career spanned 20 years, teaching in various schools across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, retiring in 1976. She obtained, in 1978, a Bachelor of Arts degree and diploma in Theology from the University of Ottawa. Leaving the order in 1978, she made St. Boniface her home, where she worked at Taché Centre as nursing assistant, dietary aide, staffing clerk and daycare attendant. In 1980, she met a very special person, Jack Aron, who became her husband on Valentine's Day 1981. Devoting time for one another, Aline lived for every moment enriched with family, friends, pastoral work at St. Boniface Hospital, reading, writing, music, theatre, golfing, cycling, traveling through Canada, U.S., many trips to Europe, cruising the Caribbean, touring Alaska and happily spending 18 winters at their favourite resort in Mazatlan. Aline's dedication and perfectionism were clearly apparent to all those whose lives she touched on a daily basis. She loved to teach, was a gifted speaker, writer and singer. The many friends she made in her travels all over the world, will never forget her kindness, love of life, wit and sense of humour. She found total satisfaction in writing and the publication of her husband's life story in March 2009 Jack's Story - A Living and Loving Memoir . Aline lived a very full and satisfying life although she left us far too soon and our sense of loss is too great to express in words. In keeping with Aline's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service has already been held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation Jack Aron and Aline Trudeau-Aron Endowment Fund', D1003-409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
