VALENTINE NICKART Valentine Wally or Slim Nickart passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the St. Pierre Hospital at age 85. He was born February 7, 1924 to Stanley and Victoria (nee Gregoroski) Neckart. He is survived by his brother Bill, sisters Margaret and Peggy, niece Arlene (Brad) and their family; as well as by special friends Henry and Anne Heinrichs. He was predeceased by his sister Joan and his brother Joe. Wally served in the army in the Korean War. He was always generous and a good friend to those in need. He made many friends and gained a wealth of knowledge through his various endeavours. Special thanks to staff at St. Pierre Hospital, especially the palliative care staff. A memorial service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with ash interment in the Brandon Municipal Cemetery at a later date.
