Theresa (Mom) was born November 12, 1930. Mom retired after 35 years from New Directions (Children's Home of Winnipeg) where she began working as a cook, working her way up to treatment worker, who welcomed many of the children into her home, as well as nieces and nephews. Mom always put others before herself. Mom enjoyed quilting, knitting, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed taking trips to the West Coast. Mom was loved and will be missed by all who knew her, she was warm and loving and had an incredible sense of humour; she was creative and could make something out of nothing. We have incredible fond memories of Theresa dating back to our early days with Children's Home of Winnipeg. Theresa helped us survive many challenging days with the kids at 'camp' at Hillside beach. She was sought out many times for her insight and wisdom and common sense - all dispensed freely and with love at any time of the day or night. Her grilled cheese sandwiches are still the BEST! and her hugs were even better! Know how much we are thinking of her entire family as you remember many special moments. Our prayers are with you.
