LENA SAWATZKY Lena and I have crossed many bridges together. On September 23, 2009 we started across our final bridge, and when we were halfway across, I had to turn back and Lena continued on to stand in the presence of God. I grieve, as do our children Paul (Jeanne); Vernon (Darlene); Louise (Randall); Beverley (Trent) and their families. We have been so blessed to have had Lena in our lives. We release her with our deep love and thanks. We thank our friends for their support and prayers. As well, thank you to her compassionate caregivers on B3 and Cancer Care St. Boniface and Health Sciences who treated Lena with such care and dignity. A service to celebrate Lena's life will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church on Monday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. Jack
