MICHAEL JOHN PYNDYKOWSKI Suddenly on October 22, 2009, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Michael. Remaining to forever cherish Michael's memory are his wife of 35 years, Diane; his daughter Andrea (Noel); two granddaughters, Robyn and Hope; sisters Georgina (Ray) and Holly (Leo); brothers-in-law Jimmy (Michelle), Bobby (Michelle); Auntie Elsie Miklash, Auntie Olga Ginter, Auntie Genya Soltes and Auntie Annie Yaworsky and Uncle John (Pendekowski) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his mother, Eleanor and father Micheal (Pyndy). Michael grew up in Winnipeg and attended Tech Voc. During his high school years he was a lover of pranks often placing himself and his three partners in crime, Eddie Kopichanski, Eugene Demkiw and Reg Dickson in hot water. Michael was also an avid 5 pin bowler in his younger days at Billy Moseinko and Roxy Lanes. He was later employed with the Federal Public Service, a career that spanned 34 years. After retirement, he joined Federal Superannuates National Association. He was currently employed on a part time basis with First Student Canada. Michael was a long time season ticket holder to the Winnipeg Football Club. He shared his love of wrestling and football with his daughter and the two spent many hours rooting for their favourite team. More recently, he developed a love for houseboating on Lake of the Woods. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Drive with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds and Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault P.H. presiding. For those who wish, a viewing will be held prior to Mass. Interment will take place following Mass at Glen Lawn Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Pallbearers are Jonathan Stanson, Trevor Stanson, Roger Landry, Reg Dixon, Jason Demkiw and Taylor Palmer. Special thank-you to Corporal D. Rozwadowski of the C.N. Police and the emergency staff at St. Boniface General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6; St. Bernadette Conifer House, 820 Cottonwood Drive, Winnipeg, MB R2J 1G1, or D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre, 730B Century Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3H 0M1.
