PAUL DAMPHOUSSE June 22, 1936 - November 13, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, pepère and great-grandfather who left us peacefully on November 13, 2009 at the age of 73. Paul will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Fernande (née Fillion). He leaves to mourn his five children, their spouses, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Gisèle (Gilles Gratton), Jocelyne (Howard Laxson), Paulette (Gilbert Patenaude), Marie-Paule (Marcel Delorme) and Guy (Ginette Clément). He is also survived by his sisters and brother: France (Gérard Vermette), Sr. Lucille, Father Georges, Céline (Cécil Dansereau) and Thérèse (Ambroise Rémillard). He also leaves many special nieces and nephews and great friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Marie-Louise (Jubinville). Paul was born in St-Joseph, Manitoba on June 22, 1936 and worked on the farm all his life. He was very much involved in the community and the educational system as a school trustee for many years. In his spare time, he loved working in his wood shop and his children all have some of his great pieces of woodwork in their home. He was a devoted Roman Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. The family would like to thank the medical and support staff at the Altona General Hospital and Boundary Trail Hospital for their kindness and good care for Dad. We would also like to thank everyone who took the time to visit Dad; he has some very special friends! Dad told us that he wanted to express how grateful he was for his wife's devotion and great care during his stay at the hospital. He really appreciated everything she did for him. Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the St-Joseph Parish. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with viewing at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Palliative Care (Altona or Boundary).
