ROBERT THWAITES It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Thwaites on Friday, February 5, 2010. Robert was predeceased by his father George, sister Jessie, and nephew Rick. Robert leaves behind to mourn his loss his wife Iris, son Tom, daughter Brenda (Stan) and son Rob, his step-mom Mary and sister Lois. He also leaves behind his grandchildren John, Stephanie, Travis, Samantha and Amber. Robert was born on April 10, 1940 and remained in Winnipeg throughout his life. Bobby was retired from his job as an auto trimmer/upholsterer at Keystone Ford where he worked for many years. He was a dedicated worker who loved his job and the people with whom he worked. In his earlier years he loved the outdoors, fishing and camping with his friends. Later, he also enjoyed watching many sports on TV, video games and later discovered a hobby in computers and also began learning to paint wildlife scenery. He had a compassion for wildlife and donated to the cause. May God keep you safe. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010.
