Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA DO CARMO RAPOSO July 17, 1922 - February 17, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our wonderful mae, avo, bisavo Maria on February 17, 2010 at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa at the age of 87. Maria will be sadly missed by her daughters Delia Calisto, Normanda (Floriano), Gorette (Angelo), her sons Carlos (Ana) and Gabriel (Cidalia). Her grandchildren Susie Hepner (Phil), Paulo (April), Sandy (Aires), Catarina (Paul), Andrew (Vanessa), Jennifer (Mike), Jason. Her great-grandchildren Kyle Queijo, Ethan Twovoice, Danica Simao, Zara Hepner and Ariana King-Calisto. Her sisters Aura Botelho (Manuel), Natalia and Enrondina. She has left so many more relatives in Portugal, too many to mention. Maria immigrated to Canada in 1980. Her best times were spent caring for her grandchildren, cooking, gardening and spending time with loved ones. She had a love of flowers and plants and spent lots of time nurturing and caring for them. She was a very giving, loving and hardworking woman. A truly sweet lady who was so loveable and would often greet you with lots of hugs and kisses. Our family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for all the care and compassion that everyone had for Maria and our family during her time there. We want to send out a special thank you to Manuela and Evelyn for all the extra time and care especially in her last days. Viewing and prayers will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. North with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. 586-8044
