Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY KATHLEEN THOMSON Mrs. Kathleen Thomson of Lions Manor Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, MB passed away on March 9, 2010. She was 103 years old. Mary earlier resided at #227-970 Point Rd., Winnipeg. Mary was born in Livermore, Alameda, California, U.S.A. on December 14, 1906. Her parents were Mr. James Horton McCorkill and Mrs. Lena (Renouf) McCorkill. Mary graduated as an R.N. from Dauphin General Hospital in 1933 and practised nursing in various fields of nursing. In 1955 Mary graduated from the Selkirk Mental Hospital as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and nursed until her retirement in 1971 and lived in Winnipeg until her passing. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends and loved ones Bill and Paula Whiteside, Wesley and Lisa Whiteside, Kent Whiteside, Carleen Lewicki, Ruth Dyck and wonderful friends and staff of Lions Manor Personal Care Home, 2nd floor and Pastor Arden. Thank you all for your wonderful care of Mary. Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens are in care of the funeral arrangements. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Interment to follow.
