Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE PRUDEN Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on March 15, 2010, Joyce Pruden went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years James; her children Rochelle (Bob) Gilchrist; Steele (Sid) Pruden; Stacy (Tracey) Pruden; Pamela (Curtis) Monkman; Troy (Luana) Pruden; daughter-in-law Roberta Hardwick. Her grandchildren, Tim, Connie, Victoria, Amanda, Jonathon, Nicholas, Seth, Robyn, Rhea, Quinn, Sarah, Tiffany, Jennifer, Vanessa, and Leah. Joyce is predeceased by her son Jerome; parents Alex and Julie Chiborak; and brother Fred Chiborak. Joyce was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on June 17, 1935. Moved to the Interlake area when she was young and at 18 years, she took nurses training at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. Her career as a psychiatric nurse spanned 35 years. During that time Joyce and Jim raised their family of six children in Selkirk, MB. She was also very involved in church as well as volunteered in many community organizations. They retired to their home in the country at Oak Hammock Marsh where she enjoyed gardening and spending cherished time with her many grandchildren and friends. The tea was always on and everyone was always welcome. Celebration of her graduation to glory will take place on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Christian Life Assembly, 1042 Jefferson Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at Bethel Chapel, 200 Main St., Selkirk MB. Interment to follow at Dunnara Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joyce may be made to Manhattan Beach Family Retreat Centre, Box 62, Ninette, MB R0K 1R0.
