Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD ALBERT BRIGDEN May 10, 1921 - March 16, 2010 Ed passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital in the early morning just as the sun was rising. He will be dearly missed by his daughters Linda (Bud) Begay of Toronto and Sharon (Ted) Stubbington of Oakville, MB as well as grandchildren Carl, Michelle and Chris Begay and Eddie, David and Tessa Stubbington. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and dear family friends the Sorochan family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen in 1994. Ed was born and raised in Winnipeg and served in the Second World War in Pat Bay, BC and had an outstanding career in the insurance business, winning many awards throughout his career. He moved to Calgary and continued to make many new friends with his unique sense of humour. Ed had a joke for every occasion and will always be remembered for the laughter that he shared. Ed was an Honourary Lifetime Member of the Probus Club of Calgary where he served as Treasurer for 17 years. Thank you for the support of the wonderful people he met there. A Celebration of Ed's Life will be held at Leyden's Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17th Avenue and 2nd Street S.W., Calgary) on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Thanks to the Rockyview staff for their excellent care, especially Renalda.
