DORIS MAE RAYNOR
Born: May 01, 1921
Date of Passing: Mar 19, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS MAE RAYNOR (nee Storey) Peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Concordia Place with her children by her side. Mum was born May 1, 1921 in Stonewall, MB to Tom and Lil Storey. She met the love of her life, Don Raynor, in 1941 and they married two years later. It was a long and happy marriage of fifty years. Don passed away in March of 1994. Her interests in life were her family, her friends, bowling and baseball. She was an astonishing person, intensely private and loyal, who continued to surprise until the end. Her last request was that Oh Canada be played at her memorial service! Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Pat Bake, and her children Charlene (Ryan Hartley) and Trevor, her son Keith and wife Elaine, and her daughter Susan (Brian Colli) and their sons, Andrew (Nickie) and Ryan as well as four nephews and their families. She was excited to hear about the pending birth of her first great-grandchild expected later this year. Doris was predeceased by her parents and her two sisters, Alice and Alberta. A memorial service celebrating her life will take place at Klassen Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Hatherly and Rev. John Friesen officiating. Interment of ashes to follow at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery. We thank the 2nd Floor Staff at Concordia Place for the wonderful care that Mum received in her last year. The family requests that in lieu of flowers if friends so desire that a contribution in Mum's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 26331 STN BRM B, Toronto, M7Y 4R1, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, Unit 1 - 452 Dovercourt Dr., Winnipeg, R3Y 1G4.
