MARION PATRICIA POLSON 1933 - 2010 On April 27, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Polson. Marion was recently predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Ed, on April 11, 2010. Her brother-in-law Matthew Gowriluk and her nephew Michael also predeceased her. Marion's memory will be deeply cherished by her sister-in-law Evelyn Gowriluk, her nephew Albert (Jodi), Caitlyn, Evan and Taylor, her niece Andrea (John) and her very special grandniece Ashlee who gave her many memorable moments. Marion was a loving person who cared deeply for those she held close. She was a very talented knitter, seamstress and an exceptional cook who generously shared her handiwork and delicious dishes with family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Marion was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church where she volunteered her time for many years. Marion and Ed enjoyed travelling extensively and have many beautiful memories of their trips together. In 1989, Marion and Ed decided to build their dream home in West St. Paul. They had a beautiful yard with lots of trees, which they planted and nurtured, complete with a large vegetable garden that they took pleasure in sharing with others. Marion and Ed were best friends and true soul mates. They meant everything to each other. The love they shared is a true testament of the sacrament of marriage. A Mass of Remembrance to celebrate Marion's life will be held on Monday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave., with Father Henryk Laciak officiating. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place; a private interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens at a later time. The family sincerely appreciates all of those who assisted throughout Marion's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
