LEONARD QUINLAN Peacefully on January 25, 2010 Len passed away after a struggle with cancer. He was 74. He will be lovingly remembered by Kathleen, his wife of 36 years, his Godson Giuseppe, and the Tanner, Frantz and Lake Families. Len was born in Peterborough, ON on September 2, 1935. In 1954 Len joined the Canadian Armed Forces with the Queen's Own Rifles and the PPCLI. Following postings in western Canada, Cyprus and Germany, Sgt Quinlan came to CFB Portage in 1974 where he retired in 1977. He continued on at CFB Portage until 1989 when, once again, he retired. In recent years he took up woodworking as a hobby and spent many happy hours in his workshop. Len and Kathleen enjoyed traveling and looked forward to Military reunions and renewing acquaintances. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
