STANLEY POWNALL 1922 - 2010 On August 10, 2010 our loving father passed away peacefully at the of age 87. Predeceased by his first wife Isabel, his parents, brothers Harry, Leonard, Bill, Cecil, Art, Doug, Al, and sisters Vera and Margaret. He was recently bereaved by the loss of his son David and son-in-law Reg Lewis. Dad is lovingly remembered by his wife Lillian, son Kent, daughters Barb (Rob) and Janet, daughter-in-law Lori, sister Dorothy, sisters-in-law Bernice and Flo. Dad will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Teri, Kevin, Candace, Crystal, Kyle, Amanda, great-grandchildren Jordyn, Joshua, Caleb, Jacob, Shaye, Tyson and many nieces and nephews. At 18 Stan joined the R.C.A.F. as an aeroplane mechanic. In 1946 he went into the plumbing trade. In 1964 Stan and Lil started their own plumbing company until he retired at age 72. The business was a success due to Stan and Lil's hard work. Stan loved his family and grandchildren and spent many happy hours playing games with them, especially crib. Stan loved sports. He coached hockey and baseball at Kelvin Club and played golf for many years. He went to all the kid's sports events. He was an avid hockey and football fan and had season tickets with his son David to the Bomber games for 10 years. Stan loved going to the Sandy Hook cabin and spent many happy hours on the deck with family and friends. He was a loving husband and a great father. Dad always gave a toast to everyone. Now, it will be our turn to toast you Dad. We love you Dad and will miss and cherish your memory always. A celebration of Stan's Life will be held on August 17, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home.
