MARY DOROTHY PROTOSAVAGE (nee SLIVINSKI) On Sunday, September 19, 2010, Mary made her final journey to be with God, at the age of 89 years. Remaining to forever cherish Mary's memory are her brother Peter; son Gerry (Betty); daughters Audrey and Gladys Catherine; son-in-law Hans (Anita); sisters-in-law Jeannette and Steffie; grandchildren Kirk (Miyuki), Andy (Jen), Matthew and Haley; great-granddaughters Lisa, Robin, Nina and Olivia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Emil; daughter Gloria; three brothers Joe, Frank and Paul; two sisters Anne and Leona; brothers-in-law Frank Winnicki and Ed Joss; sister-in-law Winnie and son-in-law Reg Cumming. Mary spent her childhood in Cloverleaf, married and started a family in Transcona, moved to a farm in Lydiatt and then resided in Beausejour for over 25 years. Bethania Personal Care Home had been home in her final years. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves, presiding. Interment will follow in St. Mary Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at N1 North, Concordia Hospital for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
