Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERMANIO GIOVANNI BERTONE Peacefully at home on November 4, 2010, Ermanio Bertone passed away in his sleep. Ermanio was born to Nella and Antonio on November 10, 1943 in Pescina, Italy. At the age of 22, he followed his brother Pierino to Winnipeg, and he soon met and married his wife of 40 years, Vincenza. Together they raised their children, Antonella (Shane Lywak) and Walter, and left them with many fond memories of him. He eventually found employment at CN Rail, where he enjoyed 20 years of employment until his retirement. He was predeceased by his father Antonio, father-in-law Riziero and brother Pierino. He will also be sadly missed by his mother Nella; mother-in-law Palma Cerasani; brother-in-law Domenico (Helen) Cerasani; sister-in-law Antonietta Bertone; niece Dina (Eddy) Gesualdo; nephews, Tony (Annie) Cerasani, Antonio (Kim) and T.J, and Romeo Bertone. Ermanio always cherished his time with his honorary grandchildren, Jesse and Gabriela Gesualdo. Prior to his health issues over the past year, he enjoyed gathering with friends (too many to name, but who know who they are) for a day at the beach, a game of Bocci or to chat over a beer. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to the funeral mass. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the mass. Entombment of ashes to take place Friday, November 12, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at Holy Angel Mausoleum, in care of Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Hwy. #1 at Navin Road.
