Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAHAM POETTCKER September 24, 1927 - November 9, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Abraham (Abe) Poettcker announces his death at the age of 83 on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Abe is survived by his wife, Doreen; children, Ken (Laurie), Joy (Steve) Kroeger and Elaine; grandsons, Jesse and Dan; brother, Henry (Agnes) Poettcker; sisters-in-law Mary Poettcker and Terri Poettcker; in-laws, Kathleen (Dave) Hildebrand, Jake (Wilma) Hoeppner, Marie (Clarence) Guenter, Ron (Norma) Hoeppner, David (Gloria) Hoeppner, Vernon (Christine) Hoeppner and Ray Hoeppner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Abe was predeceased by his parents, Johann and Margaretha Poettcker, five brothers and three sisters-in-law: Jake, John (Mary), Dave (Lil), Pete (Ruth), George. A viewing will take place on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Bethel Mennonite Church at 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, with interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
