HENRI O. BEAUDRY May 30, 1925 - November 25, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad. After watching Dad struggle with his loneliness, he has been re-united with our Mom, June, sister Alice and the rest of his family and friends that have already arrived in that better place that awaits us all. Left to cherish his memories is his daughter Irene Smith; son Paul Beaudry (Debbie); and daughter Anne Watson (Wayne). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Raymond, Robert (Paige), Pamela, and Holly Smith and Jonathan and Marlee Watson; and great-grandchild Kayden Smith; and his brother Maurice (Carol) Beaudry; and his sister Anne Brisbois. As well as his family, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews and good friends. Dad was born in South Junction, Manitoba in the back of his father's store. When he was old enough he enlisted in the Canadian Army and was posted overseas in the Second World War. After arriving back home, after the war was over, he worked in Churchill, Manitoba. He eventually arrived in Winnipeg and went to work for Frank E Simmons Ltd. Mechanical Contractors, where he worked until he retired as Vice President in February 1984. When we were growing up, the family went on many trips, camping with family and friends, driving across the country and meeting new relatives, and weekend visits with those who were close enough. We are lucky to be left with so many happy memories. After Dad retired he became Mom's chauffeur. Together they drove through every province in Canada, and almost every state in the USA. In the winter they became Snowbirds , heading down to the warmer weather and friends in Mesa, Arizona. In between their travelling they would take time to spend with the grandchildren, teaching them to fish and camp and taking them on adventures in the motorhome. Dad was a man who had very high standards, and we are thankful to have had that passed on to us. To him, family was the most important thing in the world and he will be missed every day. We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Coates, Dr. Derrick and the amazing nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital, 4th floor, Unit E for the wonderful, dedicated compassion and care given to Dad. Our words will never be able to express the gratitude we feel. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dad's life will take place on Wednesday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ The King Church, with Father Renato Pasinato officiating. A gathering of friends will take place after the service in the church hall. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Pat and Lionel Vermette will be our father's urn bearers. Flowers gratefully declined please. The family would appreciate donations in Dad's memory being made to St. Boniface Hospital, 4E for patient care. Dad, Grandpa, brother, uncle and friend... we love you and will think of you often.
