WILLIAM JAMES THOMAS 1946 - 2010 On November 30, 2010 in Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital Jim Thomas passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jim was predeceased by his wife Jeanne. He will be lovingly remembered by his son JB, his little silky terrier Cricket, devoted friend Brenda, her sons Keith and Kyle, brother Bruce (Joyce), their son Mark, daughter Cathryn, his sister Joy, her daughter Jennifer (Jason), and son Kevin. Jim was a proud member of the R.C.M.P. and retired from the Manitoba Financial Special Investigation Unit in 2006. Jim loved golfing, watching sports (especially hockey), entertaining around the pool, travelling, playing cards and going for coffee with his long time friends. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. The family would like to thank his many friends that supported him throughout his illness. Special thanks go out to Cheryl Greaves at CancerCare, Dr. Roy Smith and the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit.
