LINDA SUSANNE THOMAS (nee HICKEY) September 11, 1958 December 14, 2010 Linda Susanne Thomas passed away peacefully on December 14, 2010 surrounded by her family at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg after a lengthy illness. Linda was born in Winnipeg and raised in the Interlake region of Manitoba. She lived in Alberta for many years where she worked as a graphic designer before moving to Ireland, a land that she loved. Linda returned to Canada in June 2009. Linda is survived by her daughter Andrea; parents Allan and Helen; uncle Ronald (Joyce); cousins Barbara (Scott) and Kevin (Kathy); much beloved extended family; and many dear friends. Linda was a talented artist and enjoyed painting the beauty she found around her, especially the mountain landscapes of Alberta and the castles of Ireland. Later in life Linda found great joy volunteering her time and skills in missions in County Cork, Ireland. In every aspect of her life she found strength in her faith in God. Linda loved to laugh and always had a great sense of humour, even in times of struggle. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Millarville Community Church located in greater Millarville, Alberta on Hwy. 549, east of Hwy. 22 south. Memorial services will be held in Manitoba and Ireland at a later date. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses that were involved in Linda's care. Thank you to our pastors and church family for their love, caring and prayers. Also to all family and friends who have given wonderful support.
