DENISE JOANNE PYNENBURG Denise passed away December 10, 2010 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Brandon, Manitoba. She is survived by daughter, Kelly, of Brandon, who lovingly cared for her Mom (and cat, Pepper) over the past two and a half months and was by her side when her struggle with cancer ended on Friday evening. Denise leaves behind her parents, Joyce and Ed Madden, older brother, Greg Madden (Angela and sons, Owen, Garth and Dirk) and older sister, Deborah O'Neil (Jim and children Erin and Michael). Denise was predeceased by former husband, Andre (Augie) Pynenburg of Stony Mountain; also survived by many members of the Pynenburg family. Denise was born in Hamilton, Ontario before moving to Winnipeg as a teenager. She graduated high school in Stonewall and was married in Stony Mountain in 1972. She lived and worked in Teulon for a number of years before moving to Brandon to be closer to her daughter, Kelly. Denise enjoyed her years working for Behlen Industries in Brandon. She made friends wherever she went. We will remain forever touched by her presence in this lifetime. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Moller, Dr. Rank and the wonderful and caring staff at Assiniboine Centre, Palliative Care, Brandon. A Celebration of Denise's Life will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, Brandon. In lieu of flowers, donations to Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for CancerCare, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3 will be greatly appreciated.
