SAM L. PROBER 1921 - 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Sam L. Prober announce his passing on December 19, 2010 at the Simkin Centre. He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife Beatty, and three daughters Leslee, Shaylene and Carla-rae. Also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren all of whom were the joy of his life. Sam was born in Russia in 1921 and came to Canada with his parents and brother Charles in 1926. At the very early age of 18 he worked hard to build up a business and was able to enjoy his retirement in Florida and spent many winters with the family. Sam will be remembered for his great story telling and funny stories. He enjoyed sports and loved golfing with many friends and playing bridge games after golf. He will also be remembered by all the people who worked for him and the respect he received for his generosity to his employees and to many charities. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him; his special caregivers, Marty, Maria and Sally. Our family is also grateful to Sarah at the Simkin Centre for her special care and comfort to Sam and his family. We are grateful to Mel Lazerack and Steven Salm, his youngest grandson, for the special eulogies honoring Sam. Special thanks to the Lazeracks and Sam and Sharon Guralnick. Funeral service was held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Shaarey Zedak Synagogue. Special thanks to Rabbi Alan Green.
