PEARL ANNE THREADKILL Pearl Threadkill passed away peacefully in her 94th year on January 3, 2011 at Misericordia Place. She was predeceased by her brothers, Dick and Earl Tinsley, her husband Art Threadkill, and their beloved daughter Judy. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Doreen Campbell, her son-in-law George Esau, her grandchildren, Kim Esau, Kelly and Ian Dixon, and David Esau, as well as her great-grandchildren, Cam, Keith and Allie. Pearl was born and raised on Beverley Street in Winnipeg. Her father passed away when she was 12 years old and she left school to help her mother support the family. She took up domestic work and later employment with various local stores. She married Art Threadkill in 1939 and they lived on Moncton Avenue in East Kildonan during most of their 61 years of marriage. Pearl was an avid bowler and sports enthusiast and she and Art enjoyed summers at the family cottage at Grand Beach and many winter holidays with her sister and their friends. Grandma's focus was always on family; she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was entirely selfless. Her kindness and cheerfulness were boundless and she will be greatly missed. We would like to thank everyone at Misericordia Health Centre for their care and compassion. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside interment at a later date.
