PEARL PRENDERGAST It is with great sadness that we announce Pearl Prendergast peacefully passed away March 31, 2011 at the age of 98 years, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Jack with whom she shared many wonderful years; parents, Robert and Henrietta Derraugh; siblings, Robert (Hazel), Mabel Wright (Don), Stanley; and nephews, Roger McCarthy and Darryl Honer. She is survived by niece Pat McCarthy and her children, Shawn (Monique) and Shannon Van De Keere (Rene); sister-in-law Joyce Derraugh; and nieces, Mary Louise Phillips (Al) and Susan Honer and her children, Evan and Shayla, as well as many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Pearl was born and raised in Winnipeg and after marrying Jack, lived a full life in Montreal and Winnipeg. She enjoyed extensive travel throughout the world, and cherished sharing many happy occasions with family. The family would like to thank Pearl's homecare workers and the staff who cared for her at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pearl's memory to a charity of one's choice.
