HERMANCE PRAIRIE It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Hermance Prairie on April 30, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Ste. Anne on December 9, 1921, she is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Gérard, her children: Thérese Laurencelle (Fabien), Sam (Dolores), Marcel (Denise), Raymond (Lucille), Lucille Fiola (François), Rhéa, Gilbert (Evelyn), Lina Perrin (Reynald), René (Edie), Marielle Morin (Ron), Liliane and Gérald (Sandy). She is also survived by her sister Fernande Siemens and brothers Odilas (Sirkka) and Roland (Anna) as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by daughter Rolande, her parents Jean-Baptiste and Octavie Lessard, brothers Antonin, Normand and his wife Alma, Léo and his wife Rita, Eloi and his wife Dorothé, her sisters Léonie Schwartz and husband Hector, Yvonne Pelland and husband Joe, Gertrude Lavigne, Lorette Ryback and husband Nick and brother-in-law Frank Siemens. She is also predeceased by all of Dad's brothers and sisters and their spouses. Mom spent her entire life in Ste. Anne. After her marriage to Dad, they lived 60 years on the farm and devoted their life to their 13 children. After their retirement, they travelled to Europe, Australia, Hawaii and Cuba to name a few. In 2002, they moved to Villa Youville in Ste. Anne. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Father Chartier officiating. There will be prayers and a powerpoint presentation 30 minutes prior to the service. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
