ELZIRE DESJARDINS (nee GUIMOND) June 5, 1922 - May 4, 2011 With family at her side, Elzire DesJardins (nee Guimond) of Fisher Branch passed away on May 4, 2011 at Percy E. Moore Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Maurice DesJardins, five children: Andre (Pearl), Eveline (Henry), Roland (Anita), Helene (Dave), Real (Carla), 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister Therese (Longtin). She is predeceased by her parents Camille and Elpherida (nee Bouvier) Guimond, Marie Ange (Girrior), Alfred, Aurise (Hogue), Wilfred, Marianna (Guimond) and Rosario. In Loving memory of my dear Wife; A light is from our household gone A voice we loved is stilled A place is vacant in our home Which can never be filled Some may think you are forgotten Though on earth you are no more But in memory you are with us As you always were before I have lost my soul's companion A life linked with my own and day by day I will miss you more and more as I walk through life alone I will always remember you as my loving partner who has given me such a wonderful family and 68 years of pleasure and happiness I thank you to the bottom of my heart. Prayers will be held Sunday, May 8 at 8:00 p.m. followed by a funeral mass on Monday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Women's League (CWL, Immaculate Conception Church) or a charity of your choice.
