MARGUERITE POIRIER (nee DESHARNAIS) August 6, 1925 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Marguerite Poirier. Marguerite passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Le Repos Jolly in St. Pierre, MB. Marguerite is survived by her husband Omer, her children Gilbert (Micheline), Maurice (Esther), Edmond (Angele), Roger (Dianne), Denis (Alice), Louis (Diane), Diane (Ed), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by her father Zephirin Desharnais, mother Adrienne Desharnais, grandson Adam Poirier, and granddaughter Elisia Block. Marguerite was born in St. Pierre, MB on August 6, 1925. She married the love of her life Omer Poirier on June 4, 1947. She lived in Otterburne, MB with her husband where they raised their family. A loving and caring woman, Marguerite touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. We would like to greatly thank the staff of Le Repos Jolly for their compassionate care of Mom. The funeral service will be held at Otterburne Church in Otterburne, MB on May 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Otterburne Cemetery.
