DOUGLAS GORDON PRUDEN April 18, 1960 - May 22, 2011 CARL LESLIE PRUDEN July 11, 1964 - May 26, 2011 With deep sadness, on May 22, 2011 on the Little Saskatchewan reserve, Douglas Gordon Pruden, our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend was found deceased, Doug was last seen alive on April 30, 2011. On May 26, 2011 at approximately 3:15 p.m., Carl Leslie Pruden (Karlos) passed away tragically and joined our brother on his journey to the spirit world. Both Doug and Karlos leave to cherish their memory, their parents, Oliver and Clara Pruden; their brothers, Melvin and Mike; their sisters, Delma (Earl), Sharon (Terry), Marge, Katy, Denise, Marilyn and Norma; Doug's children, Amber, Mina (Zebadiah) and Jimmy Pruden; his grandsons, O'Shea and DeShaun; Karlos' children, Karlene, Zach, Tori and Stefani; numerous other family members and friends. Both Doug and Karlos will be greatly missed. Doug and Karlos were predeceased by their infant brother, Ronald James; their maternal grandparents, George and Lydia McLean; paternal grandparents, Phillip and Christina Pruden; Doug's infant son, Thomas; Karlos' infant daughter, Allison; their uncles, James McLean and Donald Pruden; their aunties, Eva, Lilly and Rosemary McLean; their nephew, Connor Audy; as well as numerous other relatives. Wake service for Doug and Karlos will take place on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. The funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the residence of Earl and Delma Brass in Little Saskatchewan, Manitoba with David McPherson officiating. Traditional burial will follow at the Little Saskatchewan Community Cemetery. Special thanks to the Lundar and Gypsumville R.C.M.P., the emergency response teams for their efforts, Little Saskatchewan, Pinaymootang and Lake Manitoba Chief and Councils, as well as everyone who assisted us throughout this ordeal.   • He was my Father. I remember most of the good memories, there was the odd moment of "riding a bike without pedals" or "turn the key! Start the car!" Or the time he showed me a deer he hit. His voice and face are what I remember of him, and if he were still around, I'd be taller than him. (I'm 6' 4", he was 5' 10" I think). I think it's been 8 years since what happened, and we are still around, all of us. Karlene, Torrie, Zephaniah, me, and all the rest of the family.
