ALLISON ALLEN BEEMAN Allison (Al) died on July 4, 2011. Al was born in Erie County, New York, on March 3, 1932. At an early age he joined the U.S. Marines and he served in Korea. In 1954 he immigrated to BC, Canada where he would try his hand at professional football, lumberjacking and then cooking in restaurants and bush camps. In 1975 Al moved to Calgary where he worked on furniture vans. In Calgary he met Charlene Yarrow and they moved to Winnipeg. They were together and inter-dependent over 25 years until Charlene's death in October 2010. Al was a quiet man, a humble man who overcame many medical issues to live a good life. He is survived by Arvilla, Douglas, Sandra, Ross, Becca, Tieg, Scott, Amy, Janet and Russell Meacham. Al has been cremated and there will be no service. Donations in Al's name may be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Winnipeg Humane Society. He will be missed.
